about me

Born during a cold Midwestern winter in Wisconsin, I guess I've always been seeking warmth. I now reside in sunny Southern California after my dad's job brought us over here almost five years ago. I had never imagined that I would live in California, even though the multiple moves our family has made has left me with an insatiable itch to constantly go new places. California has turned out to be the place where my heart finally feels content, but yet constantly seeking stimulation at the same time

I am finishing up my bachelor's degree in Communications from California Lutheran University this May, something I managed to accomplish in three years thanks to the AP classes I took in high school (you were right, Mom). I have kept busy during these three years though, being heavily involved with the theatre department both behind the scenes as a student worker helping them revamp the school website and as a performer. I also held a part-time job at the movie theatre that carried over from high school.

One of the most rewarding experiences I've had thus far is my internship with Alfred Music Publishing. As an intern for the Marketing Operations department, I've been able to work hands on with current marketing campaigns and specifically with different social media outlets. It's so exciting to get a chance to see how a company operates and then get a chance to help out.

I am a very dedicated person in whatever endeavor I choose to tackle. I always give my all in any project I'm involved in because it's simple to just take the easy way out, but I can't sit around and accept that; I need to excel. Maybe it's a sense of perfectionism, but I like to think it's a good quality in the end.

I hope to find employment that is rich and rewarding for all parties involved. I want to be able to feel like what I am doing is making an impact on someone else. I want a job that is intellectually stimulating as well as enjoyable. I don't really want to sit in an office all day; I'm willing to go out and get experience that way too.

Music and art are huge pieces of my life as well. I think that sometimes you can say so much more in a photo or a song than you can in an essay and convey the same messages. The artists that are popular today are that way because they have managed to capture ideas that are evasive and hard to pin down. They share what they do for the benefit of others, not just themselves. I hope to use my creative spirit in anything that I do. It's a part of who I am.

Thanks for stopping by.
